Dave Sloan

In the 1980s, I was a charter member of the Arlington County (Virginia) Tennis Association, and, over some 15 years, held many positions: served as Membership co-chair for 2 years; vice-chaired Publicity (built and maintained ACTA’s first web site) for 2 years; ran the tennis ladder for 4 years; co-chaired Adult Programs (overseeing the spring and fall 400-player doubles leagues, the 100-player ladder, and triannual tournaments) for 2 years; and served as Treasurer for 4 years.
My education is in mathematics and financial management. My professional career involved the management of information technology programs for the U.S. Department of Defense. I have extensive experience playing USTA and other leagues at the local level, District Championships, Sectional Championships, and open tournaments, both in the Mid-Atlantic and Southern Sections. I have captained many USTA teams, often advancing to NC state championships. I served on USTA-NC’s Adult Tournaments Committee for 2 years.  I helped found the Eno CTA and have served as Treasurer since its inception.
