Althea Gibson Memorial Tournament
Come out and join us for the 7th Annual Althea Gibson Memorial Tournament at Southern Boundaries Park. The two-day tournament will not only honor the legacy of tennis trailblazer Althea Gibson, the first African American to win a Grand Slam title, but it also serves as a reminder of our commitment to inclusiveness in the Durham tennis community.

Format: Women's and Men's Doubles
Play: 8-Game Pro Sets
Matches: Each team will play a minimum of 2 matches. This will be a blind draw with a consolation bracket.
Levels: Women's 3.0, 3.5, 4.0
Men's 3.0, 3.5, 4.0
Registration Begins: July 13th
Registration Ends: October 10th

Cost: $40 per player
Portion of the proceeds will go towards assisting underserved youth in Durham County and supporting historically black colleges and universities.
Registration is first come, first serve with limited spots in each division!
Seeding criteria: The National Standings List will be used. If there is more information needed, WTN will be used to supplement.
