Executive Director

Hours: 20-25 hours per week
Position Overview: Eno CTA seeks an enthusiastic, organized, and community-minded individual to serve as our Executive Director. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, oversee day-to-day operations, manage community partnerships and fundraising efforts, and enhance the growth and visibility of our association. This role requires exceptional communication skills, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for tennis and community engagement. The Executive Director reports to the Eno CTA Board. This position requires attendance to three overnight NC Tennis conferences and monthly board meetings as well as additional quarterly committee meetings.
Key Responsibilities:

Partnering with the Board of Directors to lead the strategic direction of the Eno CTA, ensuring alignment with our mission to promote and expand tennis opportunities within the community.

Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the Board of Directors, volunteers, and other staff members to produce monthly reports for the BOD’s review.

Manage day-to-day organizational operations, including administration, budgeting, and financial oversight while working together with other staff members to maintain effective functioning of the nonprofit’s activities.

Assist with maintaining and updating the nonprofit’s website and coordinating social media posts.

Coordinate and expand community outreach efforts, actively building relationships with local schools, organizations, businesses, and civic leaders.

Oversee fundraising initiatives, including grant applications, sponsorship acquisition, and donor stewardship.

Develop, manage, and evaluate community tennis programs and events with other staff members, ensuring they are inclusive, accessible, and impactful.

Advocate for court improvements and new facilities, identify additional court usage opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with Durham Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the Town of Chapel Hill (TOCH) to support ongoing collaboration with ENO CTA.

Work alongside the Social League Coordinator and Try Pathway Coordinator to ensure social leagues, Try programming, and tournaments are well-promoted, welcoming, and well-supported with instructors, volunteers, and player amenities.

Act as the spokesperson for the Eno CTA, representing the organization at public events and in the media.

Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies relevant to nonprofit organizations.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in nonprofit management, community engagement, or a related field.

Strong organizational, administrative, and financial management skills.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations preferred.

Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse community stakeholders.

Passion for tennis, recreational sports, or community wellness preferred.

Familiarity with Durham and Orange County community dynamics and local partnerships is beneficial.

Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).

Experience with website management and social media is preferred.
Compensation: $2500 - $3500 per month commensurate with experience. Flexible schedule with remote work opportunities.

Tennis Instructors
Eno Community Tennis Association is always recruiting tennis instructors for our numerous clinics we offer throughout the year.
Qualifications:

Education/Training: Work requires analytical, communication and organizational skills generally acquired through two years of secondary education

Previous experience working with and instructing adults is preferable but not necessary.

Ability to plan, coordinate and implement a variety of program activities to a group of participants.

Excellent interpersonal skills, high levels of energy, enthusiasm and motivation, maturity, and the ability to work effectively with members and other professional staff

Requires flexible work hours such as mornings, evenings and mostly weekends
-
Work requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions generally acquired through a high school education

Will be required to complete USTA Safeplay certification
-
AMERICAN RED CROSS CPR FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER is preferred.

USTA RATING OR COMPARABLE TENNIS PLAYING ABILITY
